Finds, week of June 16th
- From Craftzine:
- Bubble soap recipe (water + dish soap + glycerin), thanks to MotherLoad, and Sparkle Power.
- Another one from MotherLoad - Fruity Play Dough!
- Lucky Ducky tutorial and pattern from Nosey Nest.
- Want to check this video from Lotta Jansdotter on print making
- fabric pom-poms tutorial from Molly Chicken
- From Betz White and MS, sponge balls to replace fun with water balloons. T, who now loves playing with a wet paper towel, will love this!
- "Batik" with wheat flour, from Matchbook. She has some other good tutorials including one on making a cuff bracelt from a used bike innertube, and this one about using the memory foam block I own and have never used.
- Lined curtain tutorial from Purl Bee. The pictures of the finished curtains in the room are very pretty - love the chair!
- Photoshop "trick" for removing a background from Pink Penguine.
- Gorgeous crochet flowers from suili's Etsy shop. Rather expensive, but oh so pretty. Also some very interesting paper goods. Intriguing - do check the shop.
- From Cool Mom Picks:
- Free video e-cards from Rattlebox
- Also from Mommy Track'd, the book 42 Rules for Working Moms (CMP review here.)
- Doing some browsing on CMP, I checked a carseat cover that I now almost covet (see photo). I need something in my car that is cool since I no longer have a roof rack or hockey stick and climbing gear rattling around in the back.
- A very cute wooden BBQ food set from Santa Factory Co (see right)
- A cute site named LuCoo for clothing for T?
- Translation Tees is very funny and something I think I will have to do for T - how about a "Mingo!" t-shirt - translation, flamingo. (CMP review here.)
- Eco Dough - the natural alternative to Play-Doh. Comes in pretty earthy colors too. Since T loves Play-Doh the birthday pack might be a good idea...
- Just discovered Pandora, courtesy one of my coworkers. Very cool music site. I am building a "radio station" of Portishead music. Listening to Trigger Hippy from Morcheeba at the moment and "digging" it. Checkout my renamed station Downtemp Electronic Radio.
- From WikiHow, How to make a wasp trap.
- From the Deep South Moms I clicked over the the book club hosted by the NJ Moms and the author Lisa Garrigues of Writing Motherhood. The book looks and sounds interesting.
