Wednesday during T's bath I freshened up my toenail polish. Friday when we were 'swimming' in the pool T looked at my toes and said, "Mommy, you should buy me some green nail polish .. online. ... It can come in a big truck! I can put it on my toes."
Saturday morning we went to the zoo. We saw a boy with a blue Mohawk hairdo. T says loudly, "Mommy, why is his hair blue?" A woman nearby smiled and giggled. "Because he wanted it that way." "Why?" "Because he likes it I guess." "When I get bigger I'm going to dye my hair yellow!"
When T is older he is also going ot eat lots of choking hazards, go to a store named Greens, and have a pony tail. Watch out world!
Today, shortly after waking up T said to me, "I'm a good boy. I want to eat vegetables so I can have a biscotti cookie." We made that deal last night and he ended up learning he really liked the sliced tomato with basil, balsamic vinegar and olive oil. I made lemon biscotti with sour lemon drizzle for B's birthday and T has had it on the brain. This morning I told him he only needed to eat a good breakfast first, then he could have a biscotti. After going through various ideas (including 12 fishsticks and tortalini) he settled on the pancakes (1) we made last weekend (cinnamon whole wheat) and a bowl of corn he saw in the fridge. He ate it all plus one and a half biscotti.
He has been full of funny little sayings so that I really need to write them down immediatly. I've forgotten a couple great ones.
Tonight while we were rocking T popped up from my shoulder and very seriously said about an inch from my face, "Tortolla the monster will eat anything!" "Not around here," I replied. "Why" "Because he doesn't know how to get here, he isn't very smart." T kept his head down while he thought about this, then popped up and asked, "What country does he do know how to get to?" "I don't know," I said, and he put his head down. A second later he popped up again and said very conspiratorily, "Maybe Alabama."
