Sunday I got a very slight bit more of sleep by bringing T into bed with me. He was wide awake, but he had a balloon 'toy' from my company picnic the day before. It bought me a solid 20 minutes where I only had to periodically open my eyes to, "look, look at this mommy!" When my eyes would stay open of their own accord we finally went into the ktichen and made not as yummy as I had hoped chocolate pancakes. Not that they are bad, but they sound so much more decedant than they turned out. Was it because I used whole wheat flower you supoose?
After pancakes T and I eventually made our way to church with punch and cookies on the lawn, then to the toddler playground for a little bit of outside play. We followed this with a three hour nap in the rocking chair, and random play inside and on the front lawn. All in all a nice mother's day!
T woke up bright an early at a little after 6 am, but I managed to keep him in the rocking chair until about 7 - though neither of us slept despite my saying numerous times, "It's not wake up time, lets go back to sleep!" When we did get up we went in the kitchen and made hazelnut waffles and corn muffins (or biscuits as T called them. We almost also made biscuits so he could see the difference and mix some more.) Yum, yum! Hazelnut waffles (or pancakes) and marrionberry syrup (or jam in T's case in the photo) can not be beat!

I'm not making New Years Resolutions, but I do plan on trying a few things... (more to come as I must work on one of the things, which is sleep ...)
